Competition Entries & Winners

Miss Piggy's Purple Passion Parade

The Tonner Convention came to a close at the Sunday Breakfast and charity auction for A Friend's House. 7 gorgeous one-of-a-kind dolls were offered up for the charity auction. Tamara Casey, winner of this year's People's Choice Award, offered her winning entry for the charity. Total receipts from the generous donations and bids came to over $11,000! Each table was graced by the presence of Miss Piggy, herself (Swined & Dined - LE100)...along with none other than Kermit the Frog (A Fly in His Soup - LE100) formally dressed in his finery. Kermit will be offered later in the line, but this formally dressed version was only done for this event. The event souvenir, the new 10" Miss Piggy (shown bottom), will be offered as variations in the Tonner line.

Stay tuned for video recaps...one-of-a-kind/special exhibit/competition coverage - AND - the winners of the VIRTUAL RAFFLE!

The Moon Banquet

Robert Tonner brought in live music to charm attendees at The Moon Banquet; as dinner came to a close, the lights were turned up on the 't' runway for a selection of models wearing items from Robert Tonner's Spring and Fall Collections. Upon the finale, our very own Laura Domholt replaced a no-show model to wear a shimmering dream gown of black and silver to ovations before Robert and all. The tables were adorned with glittering 'moon' base centerpieces with rotating tables, displaying the centerpiece Antoinette doll, Lumina (Antoinette sculpt in silver lurex/chiffon and platinum hair - LE100). The souvenir doll was a one-time sculpt for this event, scaled to the Antoinette body, Celestial (Lana Lang Sculpt in white organza and auburn hair - LE300).

Firefly: The Browncoats Breakfast

Robert hosted fans of Joss Whedon's Firefly for the Browncoat's Breakfast. A line-up of Jayne Cobb's paraded their hats...and attendees smuggled their way through the event for a chance to win one of 8 Artist Proof Inara - 'Sihnon' dolls. The Nathan Fillion as Malcolm Reynolds Centerpiece (Captain Malcolm Reynolds - Browncoat - LE50) included the Mal doll to later be offered in the Firefly line to the public; however, the included Browncoat accessory will be sold separately. Also, the Co-Pilot's Chair (LE35) was made only for this event and will not be later available to the public (if extras are available of this LE35 edition, they will be sold on TonnerDirect.com after the convention - a waiting list is not being taken). The souvenir doll, Morena Baccarin as Inara Sera (Sihnon - LE200), is only available at this convention in this outift; a variant in another outfit will be available in the Friefly line).
