The Tonner Convention came to a close at the Sunday Breakfast and charity auction for A Friend's House. 7 gorgeous one-of-a-kind dolls were offered up for the charity auction. Tamara Casey, winner of this year's People's Choice Award, offered her winning entry for the charity. Total receipts from the generous donations and bids came to over $11,000! Each table was graced by the presence of Miss Piggy, herself (Swined & Dined - LE100)...along with none other than Kermit the Frog (A Fly in His Soup - LE100) formally dressed in his finery. Kermit will be offered later in the line, but this formally dressed version was only done for this event. The event souvenir, the new 10" Miss Piggy (shown bottom), will be offered as variations in the Tonner line.
Stay tuned for video recaps...one-of-a-kind/special exhibit/competition coverage - AND - the winners of the VIRTUAL RAFFLE!
It SO Great that Kermie could finally find a tux in his size..I have NO doubts Miss Piggy would Not let him attend without it...
ReplyDeleteSo love Kermit!!!..Deb
ReplyDeleteLike the idea of Miss Piggy and Kermit being smaller.

The Kermit shown is intended for the larger Piggy (as shown on the table centerpiece)...not the 10" version. There is no Kermit planned as of yet for the 10" Missy Piggy.
ReplyDeleteI think the boxes said that the souvenir Miss Piggy is 11" tall, not 10".
ReplyDeleteWhat a great blog. Thanks so much for making it possible to feel a part of the convention. Great job and kudos to everyone who made it possible. Hmmmm, I am wondering if Miss Nancy had anything to do with that purple piggy outfit???

Wow! are there also separate outfits planned for Kermit / Miss Piggy / Tiny Miss Piggy or just dressed dolls? I love the line, but I would also love to have more OFs and accessories for the Piggy I already have ....
